Rob Leland was voted Pharmacist of the Year by the Spokane Pharmacy Association in 2008. "Pharmacy Rob", as he is affectionately called by our patrons, is always able and more than willing to go the extra mile for his patients. From making sure medications are received (even if it means delivering it personally!), to chess games and burgers from Dick's; He is dedicated to do whatever it takes to help maintain the well-being of any and all who come to his pharmacy. His devotion to a job well done reaches beyond the walls of his pharmacy; He is liked and appreciated by everyone he encounters in the professional community, from doctors and nurses, to drug-reps and other pharmacists.


1st Avenue Pharmacy received the “Community Pharmacy of the Year Award” from the Spokane Pharmacy Association in 2007.  The award goes out to a community pharmacy that provides “exceptional service and contributions to the pharmacy profession.”

Brandy Singer received the "Speaker of the Year" award from the Spokane Pharmacy Association in 2009. She has given presentations to state and local organizations. Brandy won the "Innovative Practice Award" for a poster she presented at an international pharmacy meeting in 2010. The poster described the pharmacist-administration of antipsychotic medications in a community pharmacy.

Rob Leland received the “Roche Pharmacy Communication award” in 1998, which goes to a student who demonstrates a commitment to the profession, along with being congenial and compassionate towards the needs of the patient. 

1st Avenue Pharmacy provides services for the Mental Health Community, Clozapine Monitoring, and psychiatry for the greater Spokane Washington area.
