We are the first pharmacy in the area to offer pharmacist administered intramuscular injections of antipsychotic medications.  We schedule the customer an appointment date, in which they can sit down one-on-one with an experienced pharmacist who counsels, monitors for adverse side effects, and administers the antipsychotic medication.  We then report back to the psychiatrist by fax, and/or phone of the patient’s well-being and mental health.

1. Pharmacist-administered antipsychotic injections and doctor call backs for missed appointments.  Examples of medications include Risperdal(R) Consta(R), haloperidol, fluphenazine, Vivitrol (R), and Invega (R) Sustenna (R).
2. One-on-one counseling for patients receiving intramuscular injections
3. Pharmacist monitoring for adverse side effects during appointment
4. We routinely monitor (weight, body mass index, waist circumference, blood pressure, and blood glucose)
